You have obviously bought some groceries from a supermarket before. Have you had a look at the packaging that the products come in? I’m telling you, I think in some cases the packaging costs more than the product. Why?
Because the big companies realize that you have to CATCH the eye of the person shopping in the supermarket. Have a look next time. Nobodies design on their product looks drab and uninteresting! If you have a business you want to catch the eye of your potential customer the moment that he/she lays eyes on your brochure, business card, vehicle signage etc. You want to force them to read more to see what this is all about!
Did you ever get a flyer at a robot, just to throw it away in 3 seconds after laying eyes on it? It was just to uninteresting to read. You know why?
Graphic Design is an art form. It is not something that you can do because you have a computer and the right software on it. Graphic Design is not something that you learn, it is a form of art, digital art, either you’ve got it or you don’t!
Also keep in mind that you can have a beautiful design… but then your printer can still mess it up. And the end result will terrible. We deal with printers that know what they’re doing. The end result will always look the way we have designed it. The same colours and the same beautiful layout!
